

Jaleebi. We first had Jaleebi at a friend's home whose mom brought some with her from Bahrain. They're delicious. Think funnel cake with a syrup on them instead of powdered sugar. The syrup has some saffron, cardamom and rosewater in it. It smells beautiful. I attempted to make them at home, myself, with minimal (read: zero) success. These were a bit worse for the wear after traveling from Doha, but still a great exotic treat for me!
